Jodi Tanner

Jodi Tanner has been practising  podiatry for 24 years.

​

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Applied Science in Human Movement Studies majoring in Exercise management (UQ)

Bachelor of Applied Science - Podiatry (QUT ) 

Graduate Certicicate in Health Sciences Podiatry (UniSA)

Postgraduate Podiatry training included  Paediatric Podiatry, Sports Medicine and Foot Biomechanics.

​

Jodi worked for Queensland Health as a podiatrist providing care to diabetes and high risk feet. She ran an orthotic manufacture service which provided orthotics for diabetes and orthopaedic patients. She has high level skills in diabetic foot assessment and treatment of diabetic foot problems. 

​

Jodi has worked in the private sector caring for children foot problems for 21 years and enjoys treating children.

​

Jodi Tanner has worked with all age groups which gives her understanding  of the progression of foot disease through the lifetime. 

​

She is a member of The Australian Podiatry Association, Special Interest Paediatric Podiatry Group and Sports Medicine Australia.

​

Jodi enjoys playing sport including running, bush walking, golf and tennis and had competed in  rugby union, netball, basketball and  triathlon.

​

Interest in Podiatry care.

​

1. Foot function and  lower extremity biomechanics in the adult and child. 

​

2. Child podiatry particularly the area of treating  hypermobility and other problems causing leg and foot pain.

​

3. All aspects of falls prevention in elderly.

​

4. Assessment of arterial flow and promotion of blood flow to prevent foot and leg amputation. Exercise prescription and encouraging movement.

​

5. Footwear selection for the individual. 

​

6. Foot orthotic prescription and technology.

​

7. Exercise prescription.
